Robia Scott: Star of “Unplanned” Movie

Robia Scott, star of the hit pro-life film, Unplanned, will be a presenter at this year’s Bringing America Back to Life Convention. Robia started off her career young. She knew she wanted to be a dancer at the age of 12 and at 16 she was a professional–earning a spot in a Debbie Gibson music video. A few years, and many music videos later, she was hired by Prince, yes the Prince, to play the role of “Pearl” for his hit album, Diamonds and Pearls. She appeared on the album’s cover, in the videos, and danced alongside Prince on the world tour. Next Robia moved on to acting, starring in shows like Beverly Hills, 90210, C.S.I., and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She was living the dream, or so it seemed, but she was struggling with fear, chain-smoking, and obsessed with her weight and body image. She turned to self-help books, but rather than finding answers there, she found her healing and answer in Jesus. Shorty after becoming a Christian, Robia sensed that her twenty-year career in Hollywood as a professional dancer and actress was coming to a close. She launched into full-time ministry in 2004 and specializes in emotional healing and experiencing the presence of God. Robia had no intention of returning to acting or to Hollywood, but God had another plan. Robia was introduced to the writers of the hit film, God’s Not Dead. They shared the story of their latest project, Unplanned, and invited Robia to audition. Shortly after auditioning, Robia was offered a leading role as Cheryl, the clinic director of Planned Parenthood.

The story of Unplanned is not dissimilar to Robia’s own story of healing and redemption. Come to this year’s 2020 Bringing America Back to Life Convention to hear Robia’s story of Hollywood dancer/actress turned Christian speaker turned back to acting.
