John Smeaton, chief executive director of SPUC (Society for the Protection of Unborn Children), has been shaping and reshaping the pro-life movement in England for the past 40 years. And now they are helping to shape the next generation of pro-life activists. At the same time that John Smeaton will be presenting at our Bringing America Back to Life Convention in Cleveland, John’s SPUC will be hosting a Youth Conference in England. Recently, on John’s blog, he highlighted the various speakers and topics that will be showcased at the Youth Conference. One of this year’s keynote speakers will be none other than His Eminence Raymond Cardinal Burke, the newly appointed Patron of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. Cardinal Burke has oft been an outspoken defender of life and family. The youth in attendance will have an opportunity to go to workshops and learn from experts on such topics as: life issues in Africa, third party reproduction, teenage pregnancy, pro-life feminism, international surrogacy, abortion in China, Natural Family Planning (NFP), post-abortion counselling, and others. SPUC’s Youth Conference England and the Bringing America Back to Life Convention here in the states are bringing people together to educate, collaborate, and share ideas so that together we can make a difference.
