Star Parker

Star Parker is the founder and president of CURE, Center for Urban Renewal and Education, and is one of the top national black conservative leaders. CURE is a public policy think tank that promotes market-based solutions to fight poverty. She is a syndicated columnist whose opinion on public policy and social activism is published in over 400 newspapers each week. She gives regular testimony before the United States Congress, and often shares her views on major television and radio shows across the country.

Before her involvement in social activism, Star had seven years of first-hand experience in the grip of welfare dependency. Star has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and International Business from Woodbury University. Many of national acclaim would agree that Star Parker has established herself as a thoughtful and energetic leader in Washington D.C.
