Gualberto Garcia Jones has been an activist and a legal expert on human rights issues for the past fifteen years, serving with various organizations and campaigns in the United States and internationally. Experienced in state and federal legislative analysis, Mr. Garcia Jones has drafted dozens of legislative proposals and advocated in defense of universal human rights before the federal and state governments of the United States. Mr. Garcia Jones has written and submitted legal briefs for cases before numerous courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court of Colombia.
Currently, he is the policy director for the Personhood Alliance, human rights advisor for the Holy See Mission to the OAS, director of the Inter-American Human Rights Network, executive director of the non-profit legal advocacy firm International Human Rights Group and most importantly as husband and father of five young children.
Mr. Garcia Jones received his BA from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and his JD from The George Washington University. He is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
