Dr. Patrick Lee

Dr. Patrick Lee holds the John N. and Jamie D. McAleer Chair of Bioethics and is the Director of the Institute of Bioethics at Franciscan University of Steubenville. He is known nationally as a speaker and author on contemporary ethics–especially on hot-button bioethical issues such as abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem-cell research, sexual morality, and same-sex unions. He has lectured or debated at various campuses including Princeton University, Boston University, and the University of Notre Dame. He has written three books–Body-Self Dualism in Contemporary Ethics and Politics (with Robert P. George, 2008), Abortion and Unborn Human Life (2010), and Conjugal Union: What Marriage Is and Why It Matters (with Robert P. George, 2014), and numerous scholarly and popular articles. Dr. Lee is a regular contributor to popular publications such as First Things, National Review Online, New Atlantis, and The Public Discourse.
