Liz Yore

Liz Yore is an international child rights advocate and attorney specializing in child protection, human trafficking, exploitation, and related issues. She is the founder of Yore Children, an organization dedicated to the global protection of children, advocating against trafficking, pornography, abuse, and other forms of exploitation while promoting protective laws and policies. Her professional background includes: Serving as Special Counsel and Child Advocate to Oprah Winfrey at Harpo, Inc., and the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa. Acting as General Counsel for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), where she established the state’s first missing children unit for runaway wards and led efforts in federal human trafficking prosecutions involving wards. Holding the role of General Counsel and first Director of the International Division at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in Virginia, focusing on international child abduction cases. Yore is a graduate of Georgetown University and Loyola University School of Law. She consults internationally on child exploitation matters, serves as a sought-after speaker and expert on human trafficking, and has appeared on various media platforms discussing child protection.
