Fr. Jason Charron was ordained to the priesthood in the Ukrainian Catholic Church for the Diocese of St. Josaphat in 2008. He has served in parishes in North Carolina, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Currently he is pastor of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Carnegie, PA, and pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Wheeling, WV. He also serves on the presbyteral council of the Ukrainian Catholic Diocese of Parma, Ohio.
Fr. Charron is currently spearheading the establishment of The Holy Protection of the Mother of God Shrine in Pittsburgh, PA. This monument of gratitude to Our Lady for the overturning of Roe v. Wade will also seek to serve as reparation for the sin of abortion. In addition, the shrine will provide counseling, spiritual direction, retreats and shelter for at-risk pregnant women. A museum honoring those who laid down their freedom and lives as witnesses to God’s design for Life is also planned on the grounds.
Fr. Charron is a frequent guest on the popular Catholic podcast, “Pints with Aquinas.” He and his wife, Halyna, are the parents of seven children.
