Alex has been the Executive Director of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition (EPC) since July 1999 and E.D. of EPC-USA since January 1, 2023. He is also the Chairperson for EPC-International. He has authored articles published in newspapers world-wide and maintains the world's most widely-read blog on issues related to assisted death: www.epcblog.org. The EPC blog has published more than 6100 articles and has had more than 13 million views. Alex Co-produced the Fatal Flaws film, the Euthanasia Deception documentary and Life Worth Living. He is also the author of Exposing Vulnerable People to Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide and A Commemorative Compilation of best articles on euthanasia & assisted suicide in 2020.
Alex has been an international guest speaker with appearances in England, Scotland, Ireland, New Zealand, Hungary, Switzerland, Belgium, England, Jersey, Isle of Man, Austria, Germany, Italy, throughout Canada and 28 U.S. states. He Organized the first International conference on Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide in November 2007 and the first conference on euthanasia at the European parliament in November 2022.
The EPC was started in 1998 with a goal of building a well-informed, broadly based membership of groups and individuals to establish an effective social barrier to euthanasia and assisted suicide. The Euthanasia Prevention Coalition has more than 7,000 members, 13,000 followers on Facebook and more than 50,000 e-mail contacts.
