Scott Klusendorf

Scott Klusendorf is a prominent pro-life apologist, speaker, and author. He serves as the founder and president of the Life Training Institute (LTI), established to equip pro-life advocates with the tools to persuasively defend the value of human life, particularly the unborn, in the public square. Klusendorf is a graduate of UCLA and holds a Master’s degree in Christian Apologetics from Biola University. He travels extensively across the United States, Canada, and Europe, training students, churches, and advocates in pro-life apologetics. He has lectured or debated at over 80 universities, including Stanford, UC Berkeley, UCLA, USC, Johns Hopkins, and MIT. His notable debate opponents include figures like Nadine Strossen (former ACLU president) and representatives from Planned Parenthood. Klusendorf is best known for his book The Case for Life: Equipping Christians to Engage the Culture, which simplifies the abortion debate by focusing on the core question: “What is the unborn?” He also co-authored Stand for Life (2012). His work emphasizes scientific, philosophical, and compassionate arguments for the pro-life position and has been featured on programs like Focus on the Family and Faith Under Fire. Through LTI, Klusendorf trains thousands annually, including high school and college students, to articulate pro-life views graciously and effectively. He lives in the Atlanta area with his wife, Stephanie, and they have four children.
